VBCC is based on the philosophy that every person has the capacity to change. Our counselling programs are designed to assist people to recognise the areas where they can improve, and to provide the skills to make this change happen.
VBCC clinicians are members of PACFA or ACA, with clinical backgrounds in behaviour change therapy with male and female adults and adolescents. We are aware of the delicate nature of the counselling relationship with mandated clients and ensure that our practice demonstrates our strong commitment to ethical duties of care to our clients and the wider community.
Our approach to therapy is to provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) interventions, within a humanist, narrative, social justice, and existential trauma-informed, holistic approach. That's a mouthful, and we're happy for you to ask questions.
